Karoo2 shuts down during pause in ride

Today I was recording a long ride. After 122 km, there was a lunch pause of 1:15 hour. During that time I used a powerbank to recharge my Karoo. After the pause the Karoo was off. I had to restart the device and it returned with the route, however it showed zero ride time and only the remaining 104 kilometers of the route. At home I saved the ride. On the device there is a temp fit file containing the first 122 km. There is however no fit file for the second part. 1) Why did the device shut down during a pause? Is it possible to keep it "alive"? 2).Why was there no fit file for the second part on the device after I did save it?
