SMS ride notifications app
Hi, community!
This week I bought the Karoo 2 and I missed the functionality of notifying a contact when the route starts.
So I have made an app for the Karoo that sends configurable SMS when the route starts and ends.

Hello. Thank you very much for the application. I find it very useful and I'm looking forward to trying it.
I am hoping that some Android developer will create an application that notifies with sounds or text when it is necessary to eat or drink, if the heart rate or power is exceeded or not, distance, calories burned, etc.

I have tested the app and it works very well, but it doesn't work when the text of the messages is long. Is it so?
In the route start message I include the Internet address to follow the tracking and in the end message I also put a slightly longer text. "Hi. I'm Javi, just finished my cycling route."

I had been asking for some time to be able to send a notice when my wife started activity. And not only that, when I get home and finish the activity, it also warns, for the days that she is at work. Is fantastic! Congratulations. I love it!!
We need more new Karoo users, with your knowledge X)
The drink/eat alerts were also highly demanded by users. I don't particularly use it, but equally grateful.

I sent a question some time back, but there has been no response. Is this an app you are able to follow up on, or possibly even develop yourself?

We have detected a bug. Every time the karoo2 boots, even if you don't start activity, it seems to run a ride and send a notification, and then when you turn off without a route the same thing.
Yesterday I was doing tests at home, turning on/off to test other things, and it sends the sms every time.

I'm in the Spanish karoo2 forum, and several people comment on the same thing, that's why I shared it here.
For me it's not serious because I don't usually turn on the karoo and don't go out for a ride... but just to comment on it.
Maybe there is something additional on our part that causes that result. If I have additional information, I'll let you know.

By the way, I'm in the initial version! the one with no alerts or mail... I'm going to install the latest one and try everything again.
EDIT: OK. I deinstall ki2, install alerts 1.02 and the problem is present
When I start the Karoo, it sends a start and end alert. When I go into a bike profile it resends start message. When I go out to the menu and come back, again message from start to end route. At least in my case.
My wife tells me that yesterday she received about 20 SMS, she had not told me. That after a while silenced me X)
