Bug: Altitude & Ascent measurement wrong
Dear Hammerhead-Team,
what is the Status on the problem with K2 recording wrong ascent data? When will there be a solution?
I have this problem on every ride....the recordede values are not just a little off but completely wrong. When riding I can see my climb-meters racing upwards and my elevation jumping like crazy....even when I'm going flat.
I read so many posts on this topic....some of them are >3 years old --> but still no solution???
Just some few example-posts, but the describe the problems exactly:

Carsten: Höhenmeter – Hammerhead
Mark: Ascent Totally Inaccurate – Hammerhead
Andreas: Karoo2 - MTB Ride Ascent seems wrong / too much – Hammerhead

Sounds like a dodgy unit, not the software. I have a friend who sent one back and got a replacement as it used to record 4-5 times the amount of elevation. Mine has been spot on for a long time now, there’s a few people in the club with K2’s now and they are consistent with Garmins, wahoo’s have always give high readings.

My understanding of GPS devices is that they have a problem determining exactly where a rider is so that, when a rider is on hilly terrain with slopes left and right, false elevation readings are the result. I will keep my VDO M6.1 on the bike for accurate km and elevation recordings.
