Update using Sim card

It is now the second time karoo 2 downloads an update using the sim card instead of the wifi.
How can I prevent this? It is a prepaid sim card so this costs me al the data I have prepaid.
I thought Karoo 2 would only download an update with the wifi?

  Hi Pietje,

  This is currently not possible, however we will need investigation needs to be done with existing data/users to identify the answer. You may need to turn off the cellular if not required after a ride.

  Thanks for the answer.
  Below article says Wifi connection is needed for update. Why doesn't it use the wifi then for downloading the update?

  I would just swipe down and turn off the cellular data when you don't want to use it. I do this while at home so it has to use my wifi. I only turn the cellular on when I'm about to start a ride so I can use the live tracking.
