Wann wird der update-schließlich kommen das wird das problem lösen mit die falsche Höhe. Heute habe ich eine tour mit 721 Hm. Karoo 2 zeigt an, 1910 Hm. Das ist nicht mehr akzeptabel. Immer verrückter und verrückter. Ich habe den Karoo Mal während einer Autofahrt getestet. Da werden die Höhenmeter korrekt ausgewertet. Ich verstehe dieses nicht. Dachte erst, das Problem liegt deswegen  an meinem Garmin SpeedSensor. Aber auch ohne nur mit GPS falsche Werte auf dem Rennrad.

  Did a long 110km gravel ride in unknown territory yesterday and my total ascent on the Karoo was 2228m ...got home and uploaded to Strava which corrected it to 1490m [my Apple watch was 1455m]

   

  I thought I could live with this issue on my local rides where I know the ascent, but on a new ride it really is not cool to have to wait till one gets home to find out the total ascent.

  Hammerhead will send me a replacement unit to see if it changes anything and if it does it definitely means this is a hardware issue...so all those users out there hoping for a software resolution are going to be disappointed...

  Can’t be software otherwise mine would be out and so would thousands of other people. Yes, there are quite a few on this support area and forums complaining, but this will be an extremely small percentage of manufactured units.

  well it could depend on the area where one rides, on vibrations which could affect the barometer, maybe temp changes...I don't know...

  It seems units from many different manufacturing batches are affected..

  Next I am going to try and switch off auto calibration for altitude and see if anything changes.

  Ich hatte 4 Einheiten von Karoo 2 und alle hatten das selbe Problem. Bin jetzt auf einem Wahoo Element Roam V2 umgestiegen 7nd alles ist perfekt. Das Display ist auch bei extremer Sonne super abzulesen. Navigation fast so perfekt wie bei Karoo 2 im alles andere besser.

  If it’s not software, how do you explain my altimeter working normally in Finland (except for the road between Virmutjoki and Lohilahti) yet generating all these spikes in Germany? Doesn’t really bother me much, but I find the mystery rather fascinating...

  Anna, so are you saying everyone else in Germany is getting these said spikes? Used mine in various countries without issue.

  I’m saying a lot of people in Germany are getting them (I also remember someone else posting a ride that went across the border to the Netherlands and, lo and behold, the spikes disappeared while there) and I’m not sure anybody has reported here that theirs is working correctly (at least with a SIM installed) in Germany. Draw whatever inferences you want.
