Since I'm not risking my own money - I'll bet that this is a summer sale to bring in new customers in anticipation of the Karoo 3 release sometime next year (at least 12 months away).

I really hope a Karoo 3 isn't on it's way because that just means Hammerhead are on the same path as most mobile phone manufactures with 'enforced' hardware upgrades by stopping software support.  From the outset Hammerhead claimed to be different but perhaps their acquisition by SRAM has spoilt all that.  I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the planet can't support our current behavior and things need to change, keep stuff for longer!

I deffinitely don't think a Karoo 3 is in the pipeline. I also think there is not a problem in sales, with the K2 making quite a splash in the last months.

This might be a way to make sure they have a significant share of the market by the time the K3 comes along, an improved device at an "improved" price of €399. They keep then selling the K2 at €256, you know, Apple style.

Ah pish - I paid £359 for mine just over 45 days ago. FFS. It’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for anyone who recently paid full price. £50 off fair enough but basically I’ve paid £125 more than I should. Thanks Hammerhead! I do actually feel like I've been ripped off now 🙄

It's inventory clearance.  A lot of retailers are not receiving new stock anymore.  The K3 will be launched once K2 stock is deemed low enough.
