Unable to side load an app - incorrect SDK version

I got a new GoPro recently and would love to be able to control it via my Karoo 2 with the GoPro Quik app. Research showed that other Karoo users have successfully done this.

However, when I attempt to side load the Quik app, it fails with the reason that the Karoo 2 needs (at least?) SDK version #28, whilst #27 is currently on it.

Is there a way I can get around this error, either by "downgrading" the Quik app or by, for example, upgrading the SDK version on the Karoo?

  Don't know if this has been solved yet, but would also be a great in-built feature to be able to control the GoPro from within the Karoo 2
