Feature Request: show heart rate provided by watch

Hi all,

usually, I am wearing my Apple Watch during a raid and I do not want to wear an additional heart rate monitor. So, it would be nice to have the heart rate from a smart watch displayed on the Karoo and with this, all the additional stuff like zones and so on.

This is, at least with an Apple Watch (I have no other watch to test with), feasible.  The ErgData App is exactly doing this with staring a training on the watch, grabs the hear rate values and displays on the rowErg device.

Not sure if the phone as a proxy can be removed, but it might be worth in looking into that. Sure it will come with additional power consumption with another bluetooth connection but it would be nice to have it at least as an option.

  Hi Christian, even though it is not possible to achieve this directly due to Android and iOS eco-system. There are ways, our community members have found.   Hi Ali,

  thanks for the Link, lazy me could have searched for that by my self :)

  While reading throught the thread, i have to agree the guys there. A companion app would be realy nice. Especialy since it seems the heart rate data comes from the health app. This would allow to add other metrics as well. One thing that comes into my mind is blood glucose level with wout be even better to have on the Karoo then heartrate.
