Screen saver mode? Is that the sleep parameter? It was set to 30 minutes because when it was set to 5 minutes and I was downloading maps the device went to sleep and stopped downloading.

Same problem here with week-old K2.
Outside temperature was 30° C. May be overheating?

I guess that is a possibility but it started on a late evening ride definitely below 30°C. Mine is about 2 months old. The next ride, last Sunday was way over 30. If nobody knows a fix it will have to go back. Let's both hope there is an easy fix.

Certainly sounds a lot like battery saver, top right on the System page in Control Center.

Thanks for that. The terms System page and Command centre baffled me but your instructions got me there. I've only been going into settings which is where I would expect the screen saver option to be. I've no idea how the screen saver got switched on while packing and travelling but I've switched it off and I'm sure everything will be fine when I go out tomorrow.

Yeah, it’s certainly easy enough to turn on by accident, I tried to find it in settings as well but couldn’t. And yeah, there’s also the auto-off when the unit is idle and not recording that is somewhere in settings iirc.

Indeed I tried battery saver when I was not impressed with K2 battery life as compared with my old K1. Disabled battery saver again, screen works normal now.

I was wondering what use the screen saver function has because who wouldn't want to see their data screen while riding? I guess it's for those on a long ride when it becomes doubtful that the battery will last to the end of the ride so you get to turn the screen off. Does anybody know what the battery life can be extended to in "screen save on" mode?
