I think I give up on Karoo

Ordered a Wahoo Roam v2. Curious to check it out. I will see if I return it, keep both or sell the Karoo2.

What has been frustrating for me the most about the Karoo2 is battery life and elevation issues. A eur 300 device that cannot properly show elevation data in-ride but relies on Strava correction? And battery just cannot handle a full day on the bike with most features in use. Last weekend an extra stop to recharge, and recharging was super slow and I had to wait and wait. That is when I decided to try out something else.

On a road bike I do not get to appreciate the fancy screen and graphics. Even with the Karoo2 I found myself pulling out my smartphone for checking maps way too often. 

Also Karoo2 does not replace your smartphone. It just does not. The idea that I manage my routes on the go with the companion app is more promising. I just hope that Wahoo can handle creating and downloading routes with an activity ongoing.

I have a few endurance events coming up. No chance I can use the Karoo there, not enough battery life.

So, sadly Karoo2 is not fitting my use cases.
