Ant+ sensor override?
AnsweredPrior to the ebike integration fiasco, I was able to detect and pair the Ant+ sensors on my Specialized Vado 3. Everything worked as it should, the same for my wife's Vado 3.
After the ebike integration to Ant+ LEV, which did not work and is now a real nuisance, the bike's original Ant+ sensors for speed and cadence were overridden and they vanished from the profile.
If I remove the Ant+ LEV ebike sensor and try to reload the original Ant+ sensors by searching for them, they appear briefly on the sensor list then immediately get overridden by the the Ant+ LEV sensor and the Ant+ sensors just vanish from the list again.
I have been able to successfully re-use an old profile which was paired with the original Ant+ sensors, even they do not appear on the sensor list, but if I ever have to do a hard reset, or inadvertently delete the profile, then I believe the Ant+ sensors will be lost and I will not be able to get them back. Is this the case?
When is the Ant+ LEV problem ever going to be solved?

Hi Steve, there is currently no plan to split the ANT+ combined sensors on the sensors app but I will share this sentiment wiht the Product team for consideration. Are you able to search the Speed and Cadence under Profile settings where you can add sensors as well. Check this article: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/10569098050715-Karoo-2-Profile-based-Sensors
Essentially this is same behavior with RTL 515, but it appears as radar and lights separately under Profile settings. It is the same that is on your old profile.

Thanks for the reply Ali. I am familiar with the process outlined in the link you give, and that is precisely my point! If I look at that list, the Ant+ sensors are just not there. They used to be, but, since ebike integration, if I delete the ebike sensor , then search for sensors, the old Ant+ appear very briefly but as soon as the ebike sensor appears, they get overridden and then vanish.
The only way I can use the old sensors at present, is select from the (previously originally added) sensors in the Profiles settings list as you suggest. My concern is, if I do a hard reset, the list that is currently populated with the older Ant+ sensors will no onger be present and I will no longer be able to recreate the same sensor list as before because the ebike will again just override and eliminate the Ant+. If so, I will not be able to choose from the old sensors using the Profiles route. Now does it make sense?

Hi Steve, sorry that it long for me to get back to you here as I did not have an access to an eBike that can help us working through this. Please look into this picture where, under the profile setting and sensor - we can enable or disable the other data being transmitted from eBike. Let me know if this help. Do let me know if I am still not clear in understanding your request.
It might help to share your use case - as in what exactly are you trying to see here? Are you trying to disable the speed data, or enable the speed data from eBike? Thanks for any additional information.

I have two Specialized Vado 3 bikes with sensor base numbers 6440 and 45601.I use 6440 and my wife uses 45601. Fortunately, her bike with 45601 sensors has never had the eBike sensor enabled.
I used to have the Ant+ sensors 6440 listed alongside 45601 in the sensor list but when the eBike integration came about and I added the eBike Ant+LEV, the old sensors were overridden and the Ant+ sensors for 6440 disappeared and only the eBike 6440 appeared in the list. I did not delete the Ant+ sensors.
The sensors still exist, however, in the profile lists, as seen from the two screens below. All sensors show as enabled in this example, but I can enable or disable as I wish.
The problem is, if I delete the 6440 eBike sensor, then obviously, only the 45601 appear in the sensor list, but if I try to add the Ant+ 6440 sensors, they just do not appear any more. It used to be the case that if I deleted the 6440 eBike sensor and then added new sensors, one or both would appear very briefly (1-3 seconds?) in the list of sensors to add, but then would immediately disappear as the eBike sensor appears. Now, though, they just don't appear at all, for some reason. I have a video showing this but it is quite large so it is in my Google drive account here:

Now do you see why I do not wish to ever reset the Karoo, as how will I ever get the Ant+ sensors back? I can't live with the completely faulty eBike sensor and that awful yellow banner and constant bleeping every time I change the assist power settings.

Hi - I see that the eBike integration problem has still not been solved and after the latest software update to 1590.12, I still cannot get the K2 to see my original Ant+ sensors, as the eBike overrides them, according to the pictures and videos described in the above and below links. Have you comments on this problem please?
