Bought a Hammerhead Karoo 2 in Norway 2 weeks ago - Stuck on preparing route all the time

I never manged to get this to work.
I work in tech, so i see myself as above average.
Each time i start a route its stuck on preparing route. I know the gps signal is good. I loose many important cycling/trip data. Like how long it is before my arrival (in distance). What the upcoming elevation profile is. It just shows no elevation data. I loose chevrons, turn by turn navigation and so forth.
This is just a dead paperweight atm, which is very frustrating after using garmin flawlessy for 5 years. Yes garmin looks like it was designed in the 90s when it comes to the interface, but at least it works.
What can i do here? The unit is brand new and updated to the latest software.
What i have tried
- Full reset/restore
- Redownlading maps
- Tried multiple routes from strava, and made internal from dashboard

Henrik, we recently solved this issue for the routes that were imported or drawn on other platform and they had free hand section (not routable) at the start or end of the route. I see that you have also raised a ticket with us, could you please follow up with the GPX file of this route and if this route was prepared on other platform?
We have also seen this happen on longer route, that's more than 400km - for which we are still working on a solution.
