Thanks a lot Stanley, I've just had idea to restart this topic. It's quite simple yet ver useful and welcome.
Hammerhead claimed, the distance from where you are now to the POI ALNONG the route is available when clicking on the POI icon. But its not. The distance is shown IMHO likely in the straight line and in miles, not by the units set as current ones.
    Regards from Ciechocinek, Poland, Europe.

I agree - this is a much needed feature and long overdue.

Your mock-up looks good to me and I would add one more item - add on/off switches in the navigation settings to show or not show Turns and to show or not show POIs.

I know some of my routes so well I don't want to see turn-by-turn prompts or lists, just the POIs which I think of as milestones.

@Radek, Yes, I just tested and confirmed with RideWithGPS that when you tap on a POI the "Distance to Pin" shown is the straight line distance, as the crow flies. I'm not sure why they bother showing that distance.

@Larey K, I agree, and I would say even on unfamiliar routes, since we have a map and turn-by-turn navigation, I usually don't scan through the cue sheet to prepare for the next few turns — I just zoom out on the map. Besides, in the cue sheet many street names like "Concession Rd 3" or "County Road 27" are truncated in an unhelpful way unless you tap on them, so I can't get the next few turns in a glance anyways — I think this is another thing that should be improved.

Maybe the toggle could be directly in the cue sheet drawer? Like how tapping on the cue sheet/TbT icon mutes/unmutes the automatic turn cues. Or maybe it would be a second drawer tab so you could have 1. Cue sheet as is with all cues, and swipe to 2. Cue sheet of POIs only.

I made another mock-up of two ideas:

    1. How the Cue Sheet could be more useful and legible, showing both distances and much more of a street name or POI name without having to tap on it to expand the cue.
    2. How a POI Cue Sheet might look as a separate drawer tab.

I would be happy with any progress - even it it's only a new data field for "Distance to next POI" and maybe another data field for "POI Name".  Start simple, but please, start.

This would be a great addition but I won't hold my breath. Still waiting for HH to fix the distance and elevation remaining on a route which they calculate from the beginning of a ride not the beginning of a route 🤦‍♂️

    Hi,
I've just received the news from Hammerhead about our request.
It is not the good one 😏.
The development team is unfortunately for us focused on sport features. Apparently HH tries to follow direction of Garmin and Wahoo..

    Hi Radek,

Sorry to deliver a bad news - but there are no plans to add this feature on the Karoo 2 immediately.

We have captured your request, and other rider's request for this matter on our Backlog and we do wish to see this added sometime in the future. Currently, the priority is to improve our workouts implementation along with Maps, Navigation updates and additional language support on the device.

We will let our community know as soon as this is in the plans.

That is very disappointing. I wonder how many riders focused on workouts and sport performance metrics simply buy a Garmin without shopping around?

    @Larey K
I wondered many times how many.

Hammerhead's main marketing banner phrase is "See the Road Ahead" (with best-in-class navigation) — I'm not seeing it with the cue sheet as it is.

Shouldn't a best-in-class navigation device at the very least be able to match the functionality of old-school paper cue sheets?

Maybe HH should be focused on providing a basic feature that Wahoo and Garmin already have.

Another vote for this. Coming from Garmin to Karoo 3, amazed that there is not a POI Cue Sheet option… surely this is an easy fix. I doubt if anyone uses the current cue sheet which is effectively useless. Please prioritise this HH - some of the posters have even mocked up how it should look!

I came from Wahoo to the K2 a couple of years ago. There are a lot of good features but there are two main reasons, as someone who does multi-day bikepacking routes I will move over to Garmin at some point. One is the battery life, it is just horrible. The second is not having the ability to see the distance to POIs on route. It is a basic feature and should have been addressed long ago.

Another request for Cue Sheet Editing:
Use case: I planned a route via Public Water Fountains in Komoot. Upon opening to edit from the Karoo dashboard I see that there are only unmarked waypoints on the mapped route. I now have to manually add a Water-POI roughly close to each Water Fountain location because I can't edit the waypoint that is already there.
Adding an Edit option to the Tick/Trash pop-up when clicking on a waypoint would be a welcome addition to some basic route planning functionality ie: Change Name, Change to POI, Change POI type, Save to Route/Save to Global.
Knowing the distance to Water/Lunch/Viewpoint etc would also be a huge help to group and family navigation!

This is the only feature I miss from Garmin's computer. I do a lot of marathons and bike-packing MTB rides, and this is a must-have.

I don't understand why it is still not in the karoo already.
