Missing distance!

I recently went for a walk with my family and the Karoo 2 didn't record all of the distance. It correctly recorded the correct time but didn't record the last 5 minutes of distance. I was just off the road on a clearly defined path, but it didn't have the ability to recognise it. Along with all the other things the Karoo 2 does badly, this is pathetic!
