Date of ride not correct
The date of my recent ride is not correct. In the overview in the dashboard, it shows the correct date (sept 3), but when I click for more data, it shows aug 31 and a wrong time (12:30). Also in Strava it shows Aug 31. How can I fix this?

Hi All, we have seen this happen in cases where the ride was resumed from a previous date. If that is not the case on your rides, then please raise a request with us and share the Serial number of your Karoo and the FIT file of this ride.

I have had this happen twice on my Karoo 3. Did a ride on October 19th starting around 10:30AM (ish). It saved the ride on the Karoo with a date of Sept 25th with a start time late at time (and labeling it a “night ride”.). Uploaded to Strava with that date as well.
Also had an issue a few weeks ago where a ride uploaded to Strava with a date of December 1989!!! For that one, the date showed correct in the Karoo, but incorrect when uploaded to Strava.
Both these rides were just a couple hours long. Nothing crazy. Running latest OS.

Hi Tom, and Sophie - this is an issue specific and related to new Karoo only. Did your Karoo reboot mid-ride or did you perform a ride resume before saving and uploading the ride?
If you email these FIT file to the support@hammerhead.io we will be able to correct the file for you.

Hi Ali,
Yes my Karoo 3 reboots by itself one or multiple times during the ride. It happens already 2 times on 2 different rides, always set on the 31 december 1989 when exporting the ride.
Thanks for your offer about the FIT file, I correct the files directly on Strava Tools Time Shift.

Hi James, the issue was resolved a long time ago. Can you please check your Strava profile settings to make sure your time zone is set correctly? To do this, go to your profile settings, ensure your location is accurate, then click Save and refresh the page. Sometimes, Strava may default to the wrong time zone if it doesn’t get the right timestamp data or if the location isn’t properly set. Updating this should help fix the issue for future uploads. If not, then let us know.

That was fine, I upload activities every day and all are good, including regularly from my Karoo. The only unique thing about this ride was that the Karoo crashed during it, and required a reboot and then continued the ride. The time showed correctly in the dashboard, but incorrectly on Strava. Even trying to repair it on fitfiletools it didn't work. Eventually I managed to repair it using GOETOES which detected a lot of file corruption. I am happy to share the original fit file if that helps.
