Elevation and Slope errors
I rode a familiar ride today using the Karoo 2 mainly to track my heart rate. In a 17 mile ride with three climbs totaling about 500 feet, it told me that I had climbed over 6800 feet! It gave my maximum grade as 75.8% and minimum grade as -62.6%, which would challenge a mountain goat. In the several months that I have had the Karoo 2, it has always given reasonable climb metrics before, including on this route. This is 100% paved, with no more than reasonable urban road roughness. The temperature was about 36F = 2C throughout the ride. I checked and have the most recent software installed.

There are probably different types of errors. Some might be caused by vibrations, but if you see big spikes in the altitude profile (the max/min grade figures would certainly point that way), it is this persistent thing that for whatever reason affects some locations but not others. My Karoo 2 works reasonably normally in Finland (except on this one road...) but goes completely nuts in Germany, unless I turn the mobile data off.
