    Erroneous elevation readings, unfortunately, have been a known issue for quite a while.

    ride the same route with the Karoo in your back pocket and I am sure your results will be very different...vibrations at the mount are what cause these errors...I have experimented with 2 units and am pretty convinced

    There are probably different types of errors. Some might be caused by vibrations, but if you see big spikes in the altitude profile (the max/min grade figures would certainly point that way), it is this persistent thing that for whatever reason affects some locations but not others. My Karoo 2 works reasonably normally in Finland (except on this one road...) but goes completely nuts in Germany, unless I turn the mobile data off.
