I'd love to have eating reminders like Wahoo and Garmin head units can push! Either audio or textual notifications would be so helpful!

You will be able to set milestones by distance, time or Location using the Auto-Lap feature.
For complete details, please see: Karoo 2 - Auto-Lap

Also, as the POIs on the Route can be seen on the TBT cue sheet, you can also consider this as a reminder to eat and Drink once you approach the POI.
To know about this feature, please see: Dashboard - Adding Points Of Interest (POI)

    Hi Lee,

thanks for the inspiration on potential workarounds! Will check on the lap by time idea. Even though this only works if you dont use the lap feature for training/interval purposes!

But nevertheless, I still believe this is a useful and common future on all other devices than the K2. Might be worth considering for the future ;-)

The auto-lap feature could be something to solve a simple stupid software add that hammerhead already should have done since the amount karoo users that requested it and by the far time they are begging hammerhead to implement this feature.

I think most of the greatest adds will appear from sided load apps, created by users who are programmers and enthusiasts (like ki2 per ex.)...otherwise, if we are waiting for hammerhead to listen our needs, we can wait sitted.

    Cheers

@Tiago what are „sided load apps“? Apps added to the Android device? Is there something to see what apps might be relevant to add to the Karoo - kinda k2 app store?!

@Jewl Kay yes! You can also install aptoide or other android stores to install .apk (like strava, komoot).
Hammerhead could add an alarm or reminder...it looks so simple to us but too hard for them 😴

@Andrezj - can't tell if it was you that developed it, or whether it was just an excellent find, but the Karoo Reminder app looks to be exactly what I was looking for

Does anybody has an idea how to setup a reminder with an Intervall of 30minutes and will come up at 15min and 45minutes per hour? Or maybe a good workaround?

Therefore I used delay-first alert-feature of 15min and hope that first reminder will come up at 45min after starting of my biketour and then 2nd reminder 30minutes later. Unfortunately first reminder comes up after 30minutes and not 45minutes, and then every 30min and 60min per hour.

My expectation is getting a reminder at every 15min and 45min per hour. Did I have configured anything wrong or is this a small bug for Karoo3? I modified a current reminder as well delete and set a new one reminder, but nothing helps.

Custome Alerts of Karoo3 itself is not an option because with the delay start time-option reminder-tool is more felxible. I appreciate the possibilty of choosing my own color and that the note will be displayed at the top. You will see colors' note and know what to do and can continue your ride.

    Actual versions:
    Reminder: 1.3.2
    Karro3: 1.632.2430.20

Sorry, you currently can't do that with the reminder extension. I did not consider that someone would want to use it in this way; you can only create reminders based on a fixed interval of the riding time, not on time of day. I have not worked on the reminder extension in the past months, as most of its features are now well covered natively by the custom alerts feature of the Karoo (they weren't when I built it in 2024).

I think what may work well for the future is to try to position the reminder extension for "power users" and for individual use cases like yours. For that, I would replace the current inflexible fixed triggers with an Event Condition Action (ECA)-based rule system.

You would then be able to define a rule like this.

Event: A minute of riding time has passed

Condition: Minutes of current hour is exactly 15 OR Minutes of current hour is exactly 45

Action: Show reminder, Play beep pattern, ...

Thank you very much for your fast answer.

With your explanation I found my not correct decsribtion. So I will try it with a short excample.

    Starting the riding.
After 15minutes comes up first reminder and then again after all 30minutes. In this case I have what I tried to set up. Intervall each 30minutes and setting delay-first alert-feature to 15minutes.

If I do this then first reminder will be shown 30minutes after starting the riding and not after 15minutes
It is maybe more clear now.
    Sorry for my misleading describtion.
