Radar disconnects

I just got a Karoo 2 a few days ago and have gone on two rides with it so far. On the first ride my garmin Varia disconnected between 1-5 times per mile and continuously beeps saying radar disconnected. I removed the radar and repaired it which is what I read worked for other people. On the second ride the same thing happened. During this ride I noticed when I get the disconnects it also looses Bluetooth connection to my phone as well at the same time. My phone and Varia will connect back up again after a few seconds. Wondering if I got a faulty unit?

  Question: Does the Varia disconnect from the Variable app on the home at the same time? this might help you determine where the issue is. It could be the Varia unit.

  It does not drop in the Varia app. I tried that today also, the connection stayed when the Karoo dropped.

  Possibly try a K2 factory reset, then when you log back into your account all of your setting and data will come back. You will have to pair your sensors again. This might fix the issue, if not I would submit a support ticket.

  I had a similar experience - It only happened to me sometimes during certain rides. Not every time. Was not able to reproduce why...

  I've had similar disconnects with both my K2 and my Garmin 1040.  My wife's Varia and her Garmin 830 have the same problem.  I figure it's a Varia problem.
