New phone pairing not working

I had to replace my Android phone; new phone is Pixel 8 and old phone Pixel 6. I've tried using the Karoo companion app but it still seems to recognize the old phone only.

Since the SIM card has been moved from the old to the new phone, maybe I don't need to change anything. Should I simply rename the paired phone on the K2?

  I have the same issue with the pixel 8. The pairing code is not being prompted for.

  Sorry to have neglected my own question and replies but I've been busy and the early spring biking weather disappeared!

  I did get it paired eventually although it seemed more trial and error and repeating the same steps. Unfortunately, I can't say just what worked in the end but certainly following the instructions I could find on the HH site didn't work. In fact, there is still a tutorial on HH that doesn't show screenshots from the current software version so is misleading. That old instruction set should be deleted and replaced with one that uses current software.

  I think I just paired the device through the Pixel's bluetooth pairing screen. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.
