Karoo 2 Data Loss After Bottom-Right Long Hold
I've been able to repeat this on multiple rides:
- Record a ride with at least one pause (mine was automatic)
- Complete the ride - you're back at the home screen
- press and hold the D button (bottom right). Unit will go into a restart cycle
When it comes back up, it indicates a ride is still in progress. Prompts to continue or end. However, the ride distance only shows the distance from the last pause, not the entire ride. At this point, anything recorded before the latest pause is lost.
For example, I rode a 30-mile "there and back" route, pausing at 15 miles for a break. When I got back to my starting point, I saw the unit show 30 miles ridden. I stopped the ride and saved it. But after accidentally holding the D button it came back up with only 15 miles recorded for the ride.
Granted, I should have been holding both bottom buttons to trigger the shutdown, but by accident I only pressed the D button. Still very disappointing to lose ride data.

Same exact thing happened to me. I lost a 123 mile ride. I only got 23 miles because of the pause. It was very frustrating. I tried to turn on the developer options and look for the .fit file but still did not see my ride. I was hoping the ride/file would be in a folder that is not actually deleted.
