Supposedly they will now allow the 3 to link with the SRAM Blips, something we have been asking HH for a long time, or to give compatibility to the Garmin remote control, etc... But it is a lost fight.

If they give you this option in the karoo2, the "new" is that it is the same and would not be different from the 2.

Hi there. It would be sooo interesting that the K2 could be integrate with any remotes... SRAM or not, and not depending on the electronic shifters core, that is to say, be a independent device.

I saw the karoo as a quite open system growing in features and compatibilities among any kind of sensors, and open also to community ideas and feedback, all of this was simply great! But with the new "K" (K3) my idea is slightly changing (the SDK thing, etc) and I think that they are closing the system and restricting it closely to SRAM in some features... That's a pity, I like the open systems, but less the closer ones... Open means more capabilities, more opportunities, and stronger and bigger community of users and developers. Well, it's still a great unit. Let's see in the future.

    Regards.

I think the strategy of blocking the SDK is to not have access to ki2 and shimano. I don't see any other explanation  (Karoo will be for those who have all SRAM).

I was right with my prediction that SRAM would bring nothing good to the karoo. Karoo 3 after 4 years of Karoo 2 is a joke.

Here is a customer who will surely return to the next Garmin 1050.

    SAD ;(

so is there some remote controller that I can connect to my K2? It would be so much safer if I can change my screens and not lifting my hands from handlebars. Tere are some bluetooth zwift cog lookalike controllers. I am even considering reprogramming one of those, but is there some ble or ant standard for this?
