... I think it will never works - not in the K1 - not in the K2.

... you only get the information if you sideload an separate app or
you walk forward (than the GPS tell you the direction)

ok..a real shame... if the hardware allowed it and if the problem is battery consumption it would be nice to give the possibility to activate/deactivate it.

thanks for answering me, however the problem remains, no matter in which direction you rotate the handlebar, the pointer remains stationary and does not rotate with the handlebar, which I took for granted since it worked on my old garmin 530

I have the same problem, was it solved? Navigation arrow only changes when moving. It is useless when stationary or very slowly climbing uphill. Any solutions?

It's been reported for over a year but not managed. Probably at hardware level it can't be done... which is strange because the compass is something I took for granted in a GPS

Exactly, this is a base functionality for me.

I agree. Being able to tap on the compass icon to make the map rotate in the direction the device is facing would be very helpful at the start of a ride or in situations where the riding direction is unclear.
30 s of map-compass-sync would be enough for orientation and should not cause problems with battery consumption.
