Assioma - set crank length
AnsweredSorry if this has been covered - I searched and could not find any reference to it. Is it possible to set the crank length in the sensor settings of Karoo? I do not have that option for my Assioma pr max dual on the head unit. I know I can set it in the Favero app - and I have done that. But the head unit always over-rides what is in the app. I can set crank length on my garmin, but do not appear to have this option on my Karoo - unless it is hidden somewhere in the settings that I am not accessing. thanks in advance

Hi Deborah,
Thanks for posting - We have received similar reports of riders unable to set the crank length of the power meters under the sensor details on the Karoo 2 and Karoo. We have escalated this to the software team for further investigation and an eventual fix.
We will be sure to give you a heads-up regarding the fix for this issue via our software release notes.
Thanks for your patience!

wondering if there's any update on this feature?
also, can the support team confirm whether a custom crank length set in the Assioma app is retained or is there an override of this parameter when pedal data is collected by karoo 2?
my understanding is the Assioma default crank setting is 172.5 and a 1.5% error is introduced for every crank length increment away from 172.5mm
so if I set 165mm in the Assioma app, is the data processed by Karoo2 with this adjustment, or does the Karoo 2 override the adjustment (like Garmin & Wahoo head units do)? -
Hi Christian,
We have fixed the issues initially reported in this post. You can now set the crank lengths under the crank power meter sensor settings on the Karoo.
The Karoo also retains the crank lengths set on the Assioma app when previewed on the sensor settings on the unit.
Feel free to write to us at support@hammered.io for more queries!

Today for the first time my power numbers were sky high. It was also the first time I calibrated the unit while I was sitting on the bike and back peddled. I normally spin the pedals backwards off the bike with my hand. Is this what caused the numbers to be high? Also, I can't seem to see under the sensor settings where I can put my crank length. I have SRAM Rival with a power meter in the spindle. Can I set the crank length?
