Disable touch screen?

One thing I find annoying is that it's easy to accidentally touch the screen and start a ride. How can I lock the touch screen so I only use the physical buttons for the functions I need during a ride?

  Yeah, that rain lock is not quite what I have in mind because that only works if I have started and am in the middle of a ride. I am looking for a way to NOT have accidental touch to start a ride. For now I purposely go to the settings screen just so I won't accidentally touch the bottom right corner.

  Turning the screen off (via the command center) also turns the touchscreen off.
