Audio Navigation & Directions (like Komoot)
I´ve the new Karoo (Karoo 3). Mostly I plan tours with Komoot and Ioad them on the Karoo. Is it possible to set the audio navigation (i.e. via headset) or transmitt the Komoot directions? IOn my Karoo I can connect a headset, but I cannot hear any vioce. THX
I mean voice directions like: turn right in 50 meters - or - now turn right, ...

BT audio is broken, latest update doesn't appear to include a fix. -
6 months to implement something that sounds like a fly with a 40 a day smoking habit, talking through an antique transistor radio recorded with a piece of string into a can.
It's barely audible, and yes I've tried several Bluetooth devices, it's a ridiculously heavily compressed tts.
To actually release this in this state should be seen as an embarrassment.
Who actually signs off these builds?
Please get someone senior to actually get this working properly. -
Hi Ian, the release had been tested by the ATG community for number of weeks, after getting a sign off for the release to general audience. The volume on the Bluetooth speaker or the Headphone is decently loud, and do not forget there's also safety concerns when riding in busy traffic. Did you try to increase the volume of the Bluetooth audio from the control center setting? We don't have feel it is compressed or barely audible based on our testing, and the testing from Hundreds of ATG community riders.

This is actually quite insulting as a response.
I have tried this on numerous but devices at a range of volumes, from a cheap pair of sound core buds up to a very expensive professional multi speaker setup.I can't attach an Audio recording here to demonstrate just how bad the quality is.
I had been investigating whether it was practical to use 50 the new Karoo on a fleet of hire bikes for my employer, as they liked the long term software support, and turn cues over audio, as all we'd need to do is an customers to bring a pair of earbuds for a holiday.
They asked me to present on what the supposedly fixed build was like. I have played them a sample route live.
The politest response from (from my CTO) was -are they actually serious? There were several far more explicit comments passed from others in the room.
They won't be going ahead with the project -
Hi Ian, that's is odd and strange. We have not heard from others, but will look for other rider's comment on these audio. At this time, we believe it could be isolated to your unit. I would request you to write to us in a ticket, with the serial number of your Karoo. This is what you can record, for us to hear the loudness.
- Connect a Bluetooth audio speaker, and start the navigation making sure the volume is at max.
- Record this on a video and send it to us in a ticket.
