Karoo 2 won't boot up/charge

When I charge the Karoo 2 the logo shows up for a second or 2 but than I get a blank screen. I saw other posts that said to wait for 10 minutes up to an hour. But it has been charging on my laptop for about 2 hours and still nothing happens.

Checked the USB port and there doesn't seem to be any debris or humidity.

Also trying the different button combinations to restart or hard reset the device get zero response from the Karoo 2.

I did not use the device for about 8 months. But I can't imagine the battery has died since then... 

Is there anything more I can do? Or do I need to return the device to change the battery? Can I also do this myself?a

  Hi Jonas, I see you have written a ticket to us, we will get back to you there. But try charging the unit on a wall socket and not on laptop to see if that provides enough current and voltage to revive the unit.

  Moreover Bijit who was helpfully was changed to responded by Shruti was little to no resolutions.

  Really disappointed in this device ever since the Di2 incident where I had resort to side loading to help display Di2. Learnt to live with it, and now the unit dead on my unit after a software upgrade. This is my first and last hammerhead device. Enough is enough!!!
