Karoo 2 mount on 26mm handlebars

Anyone come up with a way to use the karoo 2 mount on 26mm handlebars?  I would rather not use a Garmin mount.

  I cut a piece of an old inner tube and wrapped that around my handlebar then attached the Karoo 2 mount on top of it. It has been nice and secure ever since!
