Karoo 3 Rebooting bug
I just got the karoo 3 and it keeps rebooting randomly during and after rides. So far it’s happened three times in two days. I’ve let the battery drain and recharged it each time. The second time i did a factory reset. Are there any other solutions to this problem? Is this a hardware issue? I was very happy with the karoo 2, but i can’t say I’ve had the same experience with the karoo 3

Hi Terry, please check if the Power button and the USB-plug is being obstructed by each other. If you can also share the pictures with us over the ticket, we can look into it to see if a replacement is required for this issue.

This does appear to be related to the battery cover. Unhooking it (ie opening it) and the device powers off properly.
Ali, is there a different batch of Karoo that doesn't have this fault? I can't see how a replacement would magically fix it unless it's been redesigned.
Might be better if I just trim the little 0.35mm lip off the rubber battery cover so it doesn't interfere. -
I am facing the same issues. Device stops and circles booting up showing the Hammerhead symbol. Only pressing Power button stops this cycle. This is not an issue of the power button and the USB-Plug.
I tried to update the firmware.. Everytime time I press the "Install"-Button, the device reboots instantly.
