navigate to address without creating route

I really like how HH updates karoo regularly, BUT one crucial feature is missing ever since I got K2

I wan to be able to just find address and navigate to it as you navigate to POIs, currently you need to create route for this and route creating UX on device is not best UX in my opinion plus needs like 3-4 extra steps. I think simple navigation to address would solve this...

    Same here. It is the only function I really miss.

    Absolutely..As wished by me and many other users 1 thousand times before. HH never reacted to this, eg:

    Navigation Functions: Reverse Route, Re-Ride older ride, Create route, Route Profile – Hammerhead

    --> Please write this directly to HH, I guess they don't read a lot of user requests in the forum

    As I said 2 years ago, unless HH include an address database with the maps or the device fetches that information from a connected server this seemingly simple request isn't going to happen.

    The map data already contains addresses (names anyway, if numbers are missing, certainly that can be fixed in an update).

    And yeah, it’s annoying, if I can’t spot the location on the map itself (and the zoom level needed to see names vs the size of the area you can see at once in that case really mean you have to have a pretty solid guess), I have to open the map on my phone (and usually OsmAnd, all offline maps there as well...), find the location there and then find the corresponding location on the map on the Karoo.

    The maps don't contain a postal code database (or if they do HH is not utilising that information) therefore navigating to an individual address is not possible as the head unit doesn't know where specific properties exist along a road/street

    So there is no function to enter the exact address in the new Karoo (Karoo 3)? I needed it today, I was looking all over the device, and just didn't find it!

    Anyway, I think this extension is especially useful only for Karoo 2, because in Karoo 3 it is much more agile and faster to search on your phone where you want to go on Google maps and send the POI to the device via Companion.

    Si, todo esto que comentais está muy bien, pero falta algo crucial y super importante para que el Karoo 3 o futuros Karoo 4 sean NAVEGADORES DE VERDAD:

    Tenemos que poder introducir coordenadas de puntos GPS directamente en el mapa desde el karoo sin tener que depender de datos del movil ni wifi ni nada, ya que en medio de la nada no hay cobertura de movil ni datos, hay ciertas pruebas, carreras de Mountain Bike en las cuales la organización te da las coordenadas gps latitud y longitud de los puntos por los cuales tienes que pasar y debes de introducirlos diariamente en el propio navegador.
    A dia de hoy solo existen 3 marcas que hacen esto:  Garmin, Twonav y Sigma, todos los demas NO SON NAVEGADORES son simplemente CICLOCOMPUTADORES que poco sirven para navegar, solo sirven para ver datos y seguir una linea en un mapa.

    Por lo tanto considero que el Karoo 3 o ya mejor dicho el futuro Karoo 4 tiene que incluir si o si la opción de poder buscar puntos en el mapa por coordenadas, asignarle un nombre y un icono para diferenciarlo y guardarlos, editarlos o borrarlos tal y como se puede hacer en las marcas que he nombrado, de lo contrario tendremos que volver a algún navegador anterior o futuro pero de otra marca.

    Ultimamente están saliendo al mercado muchos CICLOCOMPUTADORES mal llamados NAVEGADORES, ke siempre dependen de una app instalada en el movil-smartphone, y cada vez menos los desarrolladores se preocupan de que el aparato que están creando sea un NAVEGADOR DE VERDAD, se parecen pero no lo son.
