I removed KI2 apps and restart Karoo, the display works as expected. I think Hammerhead plans to  kill KI2...

If I have to remove KI2, I'll go back to garmin
Karoo2 is probably the best in terms of guidance, but if I can't steer or see my DI2 data, there's no point.

what's the point of a meter that only works with one brand of component?🤨

    Me too.

If I press the upper two buttons (or swipe down) and get to the "System' page, I can then press "Change Profile" and get to all my profiles and choose one to start an activity.  Very frustrating.

Also have KI2 app, but didn't do anything with it.

Dear riders, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have brought this to the attention of the Software team. If you have a picture showcasing the issue, please share it here.

Dear riders, I spoke to the Software team about this issue and can confirm that we did nothing intentional to disable or prevent Ki2 from working but we can't guarantee compatibility with it because of how the code in that app is making certain expectations about our software. The author of the third-party apps will have to make fixes for this to work again if you would like to continue using Ki2 on Karoo 2.

    Pictures of issue.

Booting up to the white screen, then hitting the "Profile" button to get back to normal.

I was having the same issue. I noticed that there was an available update for Ki2 and installed it. After the Ki2 update, the issue appears to be resolved.

The best Ki2 feature for me was having the ability to use the hood switches to control the Karoo2 display pages. This stopped working. I am on version 8 of Ki2. What version are you now using?

    Hello All

I already have KI2 version 8.0 and it doesn't solve the problem.

moreover, I've noticed that changing pages from the buttons on the Gear shift no longer works.

    best regards

I am also experiencing this issue, and I believe this highlights a couple of areas where Hammerhead could improve the Karoo ecosystem:

    1)  Allow users to uninstall the most current release / install current -1 release, so we can regain functionality when a new release breaks something (be it HH breaking something in their own code or a third party app)

    2)  Include Ki2 in HH's beta testing process before releasing an update.  I know, I know, Ki2 is a third party app and HH can't afford to verify compatibility of all third party apps on each release.   I submit that since the Ki2 app provides a feature set that HH is unable to, and is a core feature set for a large enough portion of HH's customer base that breaking it has a significant impact on user/customer satisfaction and future upgrade decisions, that including it in the beta testing process would be in HH's best interest.  Users are more likely to spend hundreds of dollars on a different GPS to regain shifting / switch integration than to spend thousands of dollars to switch all their Di2 drivetrains to SRAM to do so.

Yeah so that's the final nail in Hammerhead's coffin for me. Completely done with Hammerhead, definitely going back to Garmin now. It's clear this company doesn't care at all about their customer base.

Hi All, as we have found that the 3rd party software need to be updated to work with the latest version of KarooOS. We do not require any pictures as of now, as we can't fix the issue on our end. Thanks!

So it is the time to look for another bike-computer. I still can't understand why hammerhead couldn't make a deal with Shimano.

Valter Costa developed an update to Ki2 vs 8.1 and everything is working as it should once again. Turn on the Ki2, take the upgrade, restart the computer and all works as it did before.

Congratulations to Valter Costa for the update of the KI2 application
Hammerhead drink a lot of coffee, because I think that the day you can't update many will go to other brands like Garmin Wahoo etc..
    Thank you
