Upload sports type to Suunto?

Hi, I'm considering getting a Hammerhead but want to stay in the Suunto system. So if I set up a connection with my Suunto account and automatically upload activities, will the sports type (e.g., gravel cycling, cycling, mountainbike) also be sent? And how does this work, is the sports type attached to a bike or a profile (in the Karoo system) so that it can be selected at the beginning of a ride? Thank you!

  Hi Bert, the sports mode is currently only on Strava and Komoot, and we would like to enable that for the Suunto as well. I have shared it with our Product team. As per the Strava and Komoot functionality, this is based on the default bike for each ride profile. So if you have a Profile with a Gravel bike, the rides done on that profile will be uploaded accordingly.

  Hi, thanks for the quick response. Oh that's a bummer – I'd really love to get a Karoo, but as long as gravel, road, MTB rides can't be identified as such on Suunto, this is not really an option for me. It'd be great to get an update if this will be implemented in the near future. Thanks!
