Komoot acquired - consequences for current and future Karoo users?

    Yes, unfortunately The Komoot owners have grabbed the money without consideration to employees or users.

    1) It's irrelevant to HH, if Komoot continues trading then they will not change the "Connection Accounts". I only use the Download option and upload to HH manually. (It's a pain connecting directly as it just syncs routes automatically and I end up with a lot of routes I don't want.)

    2) Basically as above. Komoot is not linked directly to the device but via the dashboard and there you have whichever device you currently own.

    3) Komoot doesn't know which device you own, HH does and you sync to the Dashboard and from there to the device. (Or you can download and upload to any device you may have.)

    4) There are numerous other bike route mapping tools. Maybe HH will enhance the own which is, for me, currently no comparison to Komoot.

    I think the big question is: "what will this cowboy company try to do with the long established users that have download / sync in their contract without being Premium?"
    I can still do everything that I could before the sale, but how long will that last? They are obviously only interested in the money and my one-time payment of €20 for worldwide mapping, OSM/OCM; download/syncing is not going to be popular.

    We will have to wait and see, good luck to all of us who bought standard Komoot cheaply.
