Hi.

I am newbie here and just making my first steps in introduction with this device. But I have noticed that some names of the streets in the map are displayed as question marks. I believe that because these names are written in cyrillic font (I am in Ukraine). Is it possible to make the device understand cyrillic font?

  Same problem in Russia and Belarus.

  This should be an easy fix. All Garmin/Wahoo/etc devices can properly display Cyrillic characters. As far as I know, Karoo is able to display Chinese characters, but somehow Cyrillic got overlooked by devteam. Please fix this!

  I've submited a request. Will see how fast they fix it, but now I even don't want to take it on the ride. It remembers me late 90s when phones couldn't read Cyrillic, and I had to write SMS in Ukrainian and Russian using English alphabet.

  I think Karoo already has enough users in Cyrillic countries to fix this small malfunction. (Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and several more)

  But now it is even more interesting how the will make search address working in Cyrillic font map. Probably they should add Cyrillic input.

  Since there is no Cyrillic font, any application pre-installed or installed in Karoo shows weird characters.

  How can I find address, POI, shop, town, if I see on the map only questions?

  You can not even install the Russian language in the keyboard, because there are only questions instead of letters.

  It seems like they are in no hurry to fix the problem. It would better if everybody from this thread have asked the support yo fix the problem. I don't think that somebody from the support takes a look to the thread, and my the only one request is not really important to them. So guys press the support button and ask to resolve the problem.

  Hi everyone,

  We received an update from the software team that they are aware of this problem and working on it on priority.
  We will be working to update these on the Karoo. We are already in contact with the maps vendor and just waiting for their update with a fix. Thank you for your patience during this time.

  Hi. I am looking forward to this update. The device is useless for my trip to Russia next summer like this. The map provider needs to change the display font to one that has cyrillic support or to add this support to current font.This should be easy as hell to do. Very silly to have maps of regions using cyrillic with out support for characters in the first place. Please put this in the next update!

  Here the problem is not even in the map providers.
  Karoo does not support Cyrillic. It does not matter, it's karoo applications or custom applications.
  The user application does NOT SUPPORT Cyrillic too, because It NOT IMPLEMENTED into navigator level.

  You also CAN NOT install Russian in keyboard, because you'll get QUESTION MARKS instead of the expected RUSSIAN LETTERS.

  I think us still have to wait long for Cyrillic support in the Karoo ... (
