    Great idea... for me would the gear inches be enough:

    ...but might be too old fashioned for some ;-)

    The values to calculate the gear inches is already present if there is cadence available:

    spd= speed in meter per second

    cad= cadence revolutions per minute

    60= to get speed per minute

    25.4^-3= go from meters to inches

    gear inches= (spd x 60) / (cad x pi x 25.4^-3)

    I hope this makes sense, but again, this is an old fashioned way to show gear, I am not sure how popular this figure is these days, but for me would it be great, and “simple” to implement ;-)

    For e-shifting there are already the data fields. They also could easily be used for non-e-shifting gears. I really like the plot (see below):

    I use Di2,

    I think is useful also real gear indication i.e. 53-15 or 39-23 some exercises are done by gear, cadence and power
