Hi,

 

Can you allow zooming when just double-tapping on the map screen? (so that it cycles through some presets)

The same could work for the Elevation page.

It's not always possible or practical to pinch-zoom when riding (especially with gloves in bad weather!)

It also seems like a safe alternative to quickly double-tap than to have to press and hold down the side buttons at times.

  errrm... this is how it already works! (and 2 fingers double tap to zoom out)

  Ah, ok - Silly me... although it's still a little annoying when a tap moves the position of the map to a slightly different area!

  Is there a way where that stays constant?

  (I've got the map padlocked and it makes no difference)

  "Tap + Tap-slide" (up or down) will zoom the map, same way that Google Maps app works on my iPhone.

  Left side buttons will also zoom the Karoo map.

  Hi Cedric,

  As Giles and Greg suggested, one finger double tap will zoom in the map and two-finger double-tap will zoom out. Another alternative for this is pressing and holding the second button on the left side to zoom in and the button left button to zoom out.

  Hari,

  No, I described something different from what Cedric described.

  Instead of “letting go” of the double-tap, you keep your finger down on the second tap, and slide it toward the top or the bottom of the screen to slide he zoom scale + or - as much as you like, until you reach the screen border.

  Have you tried? I do this sliding zoom on my Karoo all the time.
