Backlight Screen will not turn on after power saving

I have an issue that my backlight sometimes will not turn on my hammerhead, when I adjust the screen brightness it will be fixed, by looking really closely you see something on the screen and you can adjust it but is not easy. 

The issue is never at start-up of the Karoo and looks strongly related to inactivity of the screen, when it turns black for battery saving. Had the issue now several times by starting up the devices before the ride, when I want to start my ride 2 min later the screen is black and I need to adjust the brightness of screen. I have 2 devices but only have this issue with 1 of the devices.

  I have also had exactly the same issue.  That was on 1.111 but we shall see if it is the same on 1.113.  Thanks Rich

  It hints to me that the minimum screen brightness could be even lower than it is now thus pushing up battery life.  Even on its lowest setting the screen is quite bright in gloomy England!!

  I have the same problem here, where the backlighting doesn't turn on no matter if I have the brightness turned all the way up, have auto brightness turned on or off, or changing from dark to light theme and back. I cannot see anything on the screen unless i aim a flashlight directly at the screen!
