I noticed the same. I went for a ride last week on Posbank (the Netherlands) for 1300 Hight Meters in 110Kilometers.
It ended to be 900Hight Meters in those 110Kilometers

Hi, As you know, the Elevation is calculated on the basis of Barometric pressure on the Karoo and this may depend on the weather conditions as well. For this reason, it may vary with the reality.

At the same time, if you feel that the discrepancy is very significant, please reach out to us at support@hammerhead.io with the following details?

    > GPX file of the Route

    > FIT file of the activity

    > Serial numner of your Karoo

In this way, we will be able to investiagte the issue and check if there is any abnormality in the recordings.

I will email you those files later this day. I've added the created route directly to Komoot and this gave me a way more accurate height (Still off but not so extreme). 221km ridden, komoot estimate 280. This way i took the 'barometric pressure' out of the equation.  Is there an option (in the future) to get height meters based on GPS (3D fix)? Barometric is never been an trustworthy sensor due to chaining weater, heating up of the karoo when going indoors (Ride from home / cafe or bar stop).

Hi Nick, Right now, it is not in our immediate plans to switch to GPS calculation for Elevation. But we are working on to bring more accuracy to the Elevation. I will definitely share your feedback to the Product team.
