Karoo 2
AnsweredSo, I had a front mount break on a ride this past weekend causing my Karoo and headlight to go crashing to the pavement while riding at about 25-30 mph. My Karoo is banged up and was slightly open, but still functioning - good thing seeing I was in the middle of a 158 mile ride. I think the rough road and the weight of the Karoo caused it whip to the point it broke the entire mount assembly (road bike on bad road).
This leads to my question: What is the expected release date for the Karoo 2?

Hey Quentin,
Sorry to hear that you had a mount break on your ride causing damage to your Karoo. Please send us an email to support@hammerhead.io with some pictures of the damage and we will help you out with the best options we have available currently.
Matt is correct here. I will not be able to share with you any internal information until our Marketing team gives the green light.

This happened to my unit too - the foot is a fundamental flaw in the design and after having used a Garmin for use without it leaping from the bracket I am shocked that this has never been rectified.
The customer service from HH was great and a new foot and casing were promised ASAP, however there are no cases available so I am unable to use my Karoo.
I am now sceptical and feel that this is the beginning of the tapering off of support and back-up resources for the original Karoo as you move full throttle towards to Karoo 2 …

I agree, not being able to get your supplier to make a batch of cast plastic really does not sound very confidence inspiring.
For now the only option we havie is to wait for Hammerhead to send out the promised replacement parts and/or to start moving their existing customers towards the new Karoo 2...
Here's hoping for the best
