I just got in the habit of clicking the "Fix elevation" button on Strava after each upload.

    Hi,

As Mark mentioned, clicking on "correct Elevation" will gives you more accuracy while analyzing it. The The reason for the discrepancy is due to the fact that the Karoo and other platforms use different algorithms/sources for the calculation out of the FIT files. The discrepancy will be prominent across platforms.

We also suggest you to calibrate the the Elevation manually on Karoo for better accuracy. If you still feel the discrepancy is due to an issue with the unit, please write to us at support@hammerhead.io with the FIT files of the affected activities and serial number of your karoo. This helps us to investigate the issue and see if there is anything abnormal.

    Hi

Can I add my voice to this? I have just finished planning a route on Ride with GPS. This shows elevation of 39,354m while Karoo dashboard shows elevation of 55,929m. That's 16,575m of difference. Seriously? That's ridiculous.

For what it's worth, I have planned almost the same route on Komoot and that came up with 36,110m. So, which

    is correct?

My Karoo2 is correctly calibrated. Picture below:
