Hey Stephen. This is a good request. I will definitely forward your feature request to the Product Team.

Please keep providing regular insights and suggestions. We appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Has there been any progress on this? Also the cue sheet (swipe up) is not based on the cue sheet developed in other apps (RWGPS for example) so it misses all the custom work done when preparing the route cue sheet- or am I missing something.

    Thanks Stephen

I would also like to see custom RWGPS cues displayed on my Karoo 2. Now I am using the RWGPS app on my phone to get those custom cues.

Due to the lack of this feature I use my Wahoo on all of my Randonneur events, unfortunately the Karoo is used for training only. The other benefit that both Wahoo and Garmin have using the cue sheet from RWGPS is that the cues pop on on screen. In my opinion, your not a serious navigation device without this feature.

As an endurance cyclist who is a new Karoo 2 user, I also recommend that Hammerhead should enable Custom Cues (from RWGPS and perhaps other sources) to be displayed on the Karoo. Any cyclist who rides routes of around 100km plus will generally want on-screen cues to indicate in advance features such as food / water stops, and event checkpoints.

Like Stephen Kenny (writing above), I do not currently use my Karoo 2 for cycling events because of the lack of Custom Cues. Instead I use a Wahoo Elemnt, which displays the full RWGPS cue sheet for a route. Although I like the visual presentation of maps on the Karoo 2, I would not recommend the Karoo 2 as a navigation device to other cyclists until a Custom Cues feature is added.

On this thread, Franklin Price of Hammerhead noted this as a good request that would be passed on to the Product Team 7 months ago. What progress has there been on this, please?

In my hands it is (now) possible to automatically add the POIs created on RWGPS to K2!

Yes, this helps but it is not optimum. Firstly, all other manufacturers use custom cues not POI's so event organizers use the custom cue feature. More importantly, the event organizer must create and provide a physical written cue sheet to participants. The cue sheet option, in RWGPS as one example, allows this to happen easily and will include as Roger says, advanced cues. Lastly. the riders, using other head units (wahoo in my case) have these cues while riding, pop up on the screen as they approach them for easy access. The POI's help but are not a solution.

Can we get an update on this? It's ok to say Karoo isn't going to implement this feature, or at least in the near term, but tell us so we can make informed decisions as to which platform to support.

I just got a Karoo 2 and shocked I can't see custom cues while riding. This is a fundamental feature for anyone doing long distance rides. How has this not been addressed? Seeing a POI on the map is nice but doesn't solve the issue. We should be able to see a list of upcoming cues and distance to them. Not just the next turn on the road or trail. Both Wahoo and Garmin have this feature.

I've given up on Karoo ever doing this. I don't recommend the product to Randonneurs/ audax riders or anyone doing multi day events with tour companies because of the lack of this key feature. I get it, these groups are not in the company's target market, fair enough there are alternatives.

With the increased popularity of bike packing and long distance gravel real cue lists are a must have for a product to be relevant in the market. I am within my 45 days of purchase and I am seriously thinking about getting my $400 back.

After purchasing the Karoo 2, I returned it within the 45-day period, for this very reason (the lack of an ability to display customized cue information).

It would be great to have Custom Cues as I/We are helping create routes for organized events and not having the cues is a big loss. I agree POI’s are not the solution. Especially if I am the one leading the ride, I do not want to miss any Custom Cues. Maybe SRAM can Gove you more people to get this done .. its been over a year now with zero movement. Come on Folks lets make this happen.

I would agree 100% for the addition of this piece of integration with RWGPS. I too use RWGPS to plan out many routes for myself and group rides. As a result/fix for now I just run RWGPS on my iPhone and get the cues that way. Not ideal however it works as the spoken voice lady is quite nice.

I have to Garmin, 1040 and dumped my Hammerhead 2. As I mentioned above I gave up on Karoo on this, required for me, feature.

I use RWGPS to plan routes and custom cues definitely need to be integrated and displayed while riding!!
