    Hi Roger, Really sorry to hear about this issue. It seems that the activity is corrupted after an unexpected shutdown and that is the reason why it is not syncing to the Dashboard or Strava.

    Sometimes, you may be able to retrieve a lost Activity by connecting your Karoo to the PC but we cannot guarantee it. The below links helps you with the steps to do that.

    I understand that the cause of the issue is due to an unexpected shutdown.

    turned out to be helpful for other riders who encountered the same issue?

    The following are the steps for battery recalibration:

    1. Let the battery die (run to flat)- (To drain the battery fast, you can start a ride on your Karoo and leave it on the table)
    2. Power back on
    3. Repeat power-on attempts until it will not turn on (doesn't even show boot animation - 0%)
    4.Charge to 100% WITHOUT powering on the Karoo (generally at least 6 hrs, dep. on the charger)
    5. Once at 100% THEN power it on.

    Follow the step 2&3 as it is. A simple power OFF and Power ON would not work.

    Kindly update us with your findings after a couple of rides(or dummy rides)  so that we can take necessary actions in this case.
