Too much black
AnsweredFor me, the recent major update has introduced too much black on the screen such that there can be hardly any map left. For example if you have speed and distance in the top bar and route profile in the second bar, you lose half your map area. Then if you have cues at the bottom, you lose half of the above half a screen. Finally, what's left of the map is then reduced by a shading coming up from the bottom. The bottom of the screen also has the word ROUTE there for no apparent purpose. The end result of all this is that you can be left with a map all of about 1cm height.
As a result of this, I have had to delete cues and use only a single cell at the top. It works but surely this wasn't the intention.
Here's my suggestion if this is possible:
1. Delete the shading and the word ROUTE at the bottom - they add no value that I can see.
2. Make the data at the top of the screen with black lettering but transparently still showing the map underneath.

Hi Lance, I hope you are doing well.
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions with us. We are sorry to hear that you are not very happy about the new update.
These are the first bit of large changes and a small part of a major ongoing software development process. We have always been committed to incremental updates to reach our software goals in ways that allow us to easily identify bugs, ensure the Karoo is reliable.
The suggestions are already passed on to the team and they are working on a solution to both, possibly there might be a switchback of the map on top and data below, so our user can customize the page according to their choice.
