Best Mount for rough terrain
AnsweredHowdy folks, I'm a recent convert from a life long Garmin user and I'm loving my hammerhead, but just one problem I have, the mount supplied with the unit is currently on my road bike and works great, but I also have 3 mountain bikes and a gravel bike that I'm using some original garmin mounts and also some after market k-edge mounts to hold on my Karoo, but time after time the unit falls off on very rough terrain, I've just been lucky to date that I haven't damaged the screen, just a few scuffs on the case.
My question is what mounts are people using for off road riding ? or any tips really on how to safely secure my wonderful karoo before I end up smashing the screen some day :-(
I haven't tried the original hammerhead mount on the mountain bikes yet, as I can't see them for sale anywhere so I'm guessing that I'll have to find a suitable 3rd party mount for the rough stuff.
cheers
Patrick

Hi Patrick, Thank you for sharing your experience. We ran out of stock in regards to the Bracket Mount. In that case, i suggest you go for any third party Mounts until we restock it.
This link helps you with other compatible Mounts: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360006082854-Compatible-Aero-Non-standard-handlebar-mounts
Adding to this, we recommend that you use the lanyard on all your rides for added safety.
