    Hi Philip,
We are sorry to hear about the trouble with the battery. This is very disappointing. We would recommend you to please perform the battery calibration. If you still do not see any difference after the calibration, please write to support@hammerhead.io, with the FIT file and the serial number, so we can take the next course of action.

Ok, i will try the calibration.
Today my battery completely drained after 2 hours. Verry disappointing, riding the Sella Ronda in Italy.

Here are the steps to recalibrate the battery fuel gauge:

    1. Let the battery die (run to flat)
    2. Power back on
    3. Repeat power-on attempts until it will not turn on (doesn't even show boot animation - 0%)
    4. Charge to 100% WITHOUT powering on the Karoo (generally at least 6 hrs, dep. on battery)
    5. Once at 100% THEN power it on.

I have done a couple of battery calibrations but there is definitely an increased battery usage post update.  Now using 15% whereas previously it was steady at circa 10%

Today i made a ride of 9 hours, after 3 hours i have put the screen out. Verry disappointing performance of the Karoo. This week is my roadbike vacation in the Dolomites in Italy.
So now i can mail the fit file and the serial number, but that won't help me this week....

    Gerard,

Bummed to hear that the calibration did not fix it. The corrupted file is also troubling. I have a K2 on pre-order (Oct.) and hope that this issues will be resolved with an update or by the new hardware.

    Thanks for your support!

Similar problem after update. Started ride at 100%. Device shut down after a few miles. When restarted, showed 65% power. Lost a chunk of my ride data due to shut down.
