Hey Karel. You will not be able to use your Apple watch as a HR sensor along with our products. The problem would not be with the Karoo 2 detecting that HR Data. Apple products have a closed protocol. An apple watch will not transmit data to any other device outside the Apple ecosystem.

Hi Franklin, should this not be possible by making a proper iOS app? This way, the iOS companion app could forward the HR data to the Karoo 2. For example how Zwift is doing it.

@Franklin Prince - echoing what Bart just said, HR data is pulled from Apple Watch through the Zwift companion app and it works perfectly. It is then able to be uploaded to Strava. Who knows what else you could do with a Karoo app but this would be at least one critical function to avoid needing more hardware to measure HR.

@Franklin Prince echoing what Bart and Paul just said.having a simple Apple Watch app to initiate the ride would simplify the user experience and allow us to track our cardiac performance.

Yes, works fine. Use HeartCast app (free) on iWatch + iPhone.

Add the BT sensor to the Karoo 2.
