Cycling Dynamics
Not plannedCan't seem to find any information on this so I figured I'd ask... Is there any plan to incorporate the ANT+ Cycling Dynamics profile into the Karoo2? I have a pair of Favero Assioma pedals and would love to be able to see all the data they send out without using a Garmin.

Hey Nicholas. Sorry, but currently Karoo 1 or Karoo 2 does not support Cycling dynamics.
Currently, we do not have immediate plans to implement cycling dynamics with Karoo 1 or Karoo 2. However, if you are looking for Pedal Power Balance, Pedal Smoothness, Torque Effectiveness then we certainly have these on the Karoo or will have on Karoo 2. -
I have Assioma Duo power pedals, and on my karoo1 and karoo2 I can see in-ride power balance, torque, and other values coming from each pedal. But when I get the activity fit file from karoo dashboard, this information seems to be not saved on file!
I opened the file with Virb app to see the data inside and there is no sign of individual power metrics on it. It is a problem with my software not reading values correctly? or that data is displayed in-ride but discarded and not recorded on activity?

This is issue still exists ? i will receive my karoo 2 in a few days and want to ensure that i get the data. I saw that in the last karoo update they made some change for cycling dynamics on the unit but nothing about the file transfer to the dashboard.
Need to open a "feature" request ?

Bordator - this exists in the backlog of the Product roadmap and is a matter of prioritisation amidst other feature request.

I am the owner of the Karoo 1 and Karoo 2 and I am absolutely satisfied with the features except for one thing, that is the lack of cycling dynamics. Thus, the scatter plots and graphics are missing in Garmin Connect but also in WKO5 or golden cheetah. I thought this would change with the launch of the Karoo 2. I am now using my Garmin Edge 1030 again and am considering selling both Karoos. I measure my power with the Assioma duo. For me, being on a par with Garmin and Wahoo also means providing important parameters. Sorry for my bad English.
Regards
Armin

I opened a ticket on this issue. I have a bike with Stages dual cranks and I am able to see power, R/L power balance, cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness. On my other bike, I have Garmin Vector 3 pedals (dual). I am only able to see power, R/L power balance and cadence. I cannot see torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness.

That decision was made four years ago. Priorities evolve, and it's probably time to revisit it. Otherwise, users may start migrating from Karoo to Garmin just to access these advanced metrics.
I’m a very happy Karoo 3 user, but I'm planning to buy the new Favero Assioma RS-2 power meter, and I’d love to see as many of its metrics supported on the K3 as possible. If those key metrics aren't available, I might eventually have to consider switching to Garmin.

Is there no ability to get access to cycling dynamics on the Karoo 3? Surely there is if it’s targeted at athletes using it for training or is that not the market for the product.
Just bought the device recently and can’t seem to see any data? Might need to return it to the retailer as still have 15 days to return for refund, but am I missing something in setup?

The worst part is that not all the data is displayed when exporting the *.fit file and importing it from Garmin Connect. I currently have Favero Assioma RS2s and previously Assioma Duo, and neither of the files downloaded from either model show something as basic as pedaling balance when imported into Garmin Connect. Of course, the torque angle, seated/standing time, or shoe offset on the pedal platform are also not displayed.
