Lap button not usable in the map view

When switching to the map view, the lower right button, usually mapped to the LAP function, becomes something else, like ZOOM in or something.

Why is that, there’s a touchscreen for that? 

Very annoying to hit LAP and not marking a lap.

  Hey Marco

  Sorry to see that you could not mark your lap during your ride. Let me help you with this.

  On the map screen, button E is mapped to the zoom-in function on the map. This will help you scale up the map to make POIs visible while you ride with the map screen.

  You can still record the lap during your ride. You can record the lap by pressing button E (bottom right button) on the numeric data field screen or graphical data field screen.

  Right. That is one thing that is annoying when I didn’t record a lap. The lap button should always record a lap no matter what screen you are on!!

  Especially when there is an iption to auto switch to the map page, that kills your lap button.

  The same annoying behavior on Wahoo, I honestly don't care if I have to press multiple buttons to end a ride, but the LAP button should be ALWAYS available, it's a time critical feature, it's not possible that I have to switch pages to find the LAP button.
