Hi Luis, I am sorry to hear about the concern with the invalid reboot. We suspect It's an issue with the reading from the Battery gauge on the unit. For us to isolate the problem, we want you to perform these steps to re-calibrate the battery gauge:
    1. Let the battery die (Put it on ride mode till it powers off)
    2. Power back on
    3. Repeat  power-on attempts until it will not turn on (doesn't even show boot animation - 0%)
4.Charge to 100% WITHOUT powering on the Karoo (generally at least 6 hrs, dep. on the charger)
    5. Once at 100%, power it on.

Please perform the step 2&3 as it is. It would not be effective if you just power OFF and Power ON.

if the workaround fails, please write back to us with the FIT files or your recent rides and the Serial number of the Karoo to support@hammerhead.io, so we can investigate the problem further.

@Francois - It is not a software issue, and rather a battery fuel gauge issue that needs to be calibrated whenever this happens. Could you please try the steps from above and let us know? If you already did that then please let me know that too.

Francois, You can start a ride and just leave it on the desk. It should drain the battery quicker.

My karoo is always rebooting after my last ride. It is still giving the startup screen. During my last ride my battery was 1% and there was a notification of full memory. Now it keeps giving the startup screen. Did the steps above, will repeat again but what to do?

Hey Jordi. Sorry to hear about your issue.

I suspect that your unit is stuck on the boot loop. This happens due to low memory availability on the unit. This is common on any electronic device which is running low on memory. I would recommend you to perform the hard reset on your Karoo from the recovery menu. Let me help you with an article for reference - https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360003079393-Performing-a-Hard-Reset-on-your-Karoo

Besides, I would like to inform you that the activities, Data screens, Bike Profiles, and Routes are account specific. These details will be retained once you log in to your Hammerhead account after performing the Factory reset. At the same time, you have to download the offline maps and pair the sensors again.
