Hey Nick. It's great to see you bring up this request for the elevation data.

@Brandon: Certainly, the requested data would be beneficial for our users.

I would like to inform you that we know it is valuable and we want it too. We are working on some initial concepts but can't commit the timeline of when it will be ready for use.

Currently, we have the graphical representation of the elevation where you can see the current elevation on the route selected. However, we do not have this in m or ft at the moment. We will certainly take this to a discussion with the product team. However, I am curious to know how this can be useful on your ride? I am sure you would have used the current elevation data field, which gives the data on the current climb.

We currently have the data filed - current grade % but we will look into your request for the average or maximum gradient left for the climb. I will take this point to our Product team to see how they prioritize this.

Not sure if that's on the unit either but that would be fantastic data to have!

    Let me chime in.

I assume that we users would basically want the same functionality of Garmin ClimbPro

I would use this for longer climbs (and probably medium climbs) for pacing.  If i know it's a long shallow climb I may choose to average X watts, if I know i'm close to the top and there are a few really steep bits, i may stay where I am but if i'm close to the top and it's shallow I may start to pick up the pace to get some speed over the top.  There's a lot of ways of using these 3 metrics.  If you included other fields like average power on the climb so far, time on the climb so far, average gradient climbed (on current climb), max gradient climbed (on current climb), it's all powerful information to make decisions with.

I just did some poking around after Martin B's comment and it seems like Garmin ClimbPro has some of this (didn't realise when I first posted this).  I think you guys could do a better job given your platform and screen pixel density.

Sometime ago I've made more or less the same suggestion. I think most of the work is already done.

Totally agree with this, we need a specific Climb Page !

    - Distance of the climb + Distance left (like 1.6km or 500m)

    - AVG gradient of the climb + AVG gradient left (like 6%)

    - Stats on the climb sofar: AVG power (incl bar indicating FTP power %), AVG HR in %MAX HR, AVG RPM

    - Graphical Display of the climb with color coded gradients (red = over 15%, orange = 10-15%, yellow = 5-9%), indication of where you are on the Climb + MAP of the climb (corners coming up etc)

Most of this info should already be available (like in Strava Live Segments)
