    Hi Eric,
Thank you so much for sharing your valuable suggestions with us. Along with the previous suggestions made by Tom, we will pass this information to the product team, so they can prioritize them accordingly.
Again, we really appreciate for writing to us with your suggestions.

    Hi Ashish and company,

This isn't the first time where someone has suggested something to make the Karoo more inclusive. Not everyone riding a bike with a Karoo mounted on it is a 20-year-old with perfect vision and hearing. Please have the conversation with the team to be more aware of who rides. We are of all ages, with various levels of vision and hearing. Every feature doesn't need to be infinitely flexible but should accommodate a much wider range than it does today.

Hey Dennis. Firstly, I would appreciate you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the features you would like to see on the Karoo. It because of the feedback and suggestions that we strive to improve our product and user experience.

We have taken your suggestion to our Product team to see how they prioritize this. We prioritize each feature based on the number of user requests, impact on current customer base, usability, market value, etc. However, I can not confirm the timeline as of now. I do not want to promise something that we can’t deliver on time, and would rather be happy to announce timelines or apps as they are ready.

I certainly want to second this, I used a 705 Garmin for 3 years before I knew it had a audible beeper, Karoo adding audible in lower frequencies would be nice.

Another vote for this request. I *think* I heard the beeper when I took my Karoo 2 on a test walk yesterday. I was particularly underwhelmed by it. The pitch of the sound is way too high, in my opinion.

I would like to see the ability to change the sound, like I can on my iPhone.

Furthermore, if I can configure different sounds for different notifications, that would be even better. For example, if I could differentiate between potentially less important phone notifications and more immediate navigation announcements, that would be ideal. You already have a nice classification of audio alerts on the Audio Alerts screen:

    • Turn by turn
    • Workouts
    • Radar
    • Strava live segments
    • Phone

Now I would urge you to take this one step further and allow custom audio alerts for each, when enabled.

ANother vote for this request. Plus just the ability to INCREASE the volume of the audio, with an easy-to-access control

Also my vote for update of audio alerts, this very high pitch are distorted and rattling. Pleas create possibility to change volume and pitch of beeper alerts or adjust it to prevent rattling. In first I thought that this is device issue, but I replace it for new one and second device have exactly same audio alerts problem.

And also my vote. 72 years old race biker and long-distance cyclist , only hear the beep very very low, and when looking at the screen to expect it at about 140 m before turn. So dangerous and useless than.

What would also be useful is a different sound/beep for route changes, notifications and my radar warning as it’s often difficult to know if I need to turn soon, stay over or look at text message!

Found this searching for hearing aid connectivity.  I carry a phone for cellular connectivity and calling for an Uber after serious mechanical.  So .. since I'm carrying the iPhone I'd been using the Ride W/GPS app which has the beautiful feature of leveraging the iPhone's hearing-aid connectivity.  HR, wr, Spd, distance, turn cues, AND Varia radar are all audibly communicated.  So now I'm doing routes with Karoo2 on the handlebar and the iPhone running the route in my pocket. And besides the fact that this seems ridiculous redundancy, the turn cues do not work so well on re-routes. Would be great to have direct hearing aid Bluetooth (Bluetooth low energy - which I don't seem to be able to connect to on Karoo2)  and the ability to sideload an App like Uber. I am new to the Karoo2 so both of these things may exist and I just need help finding them.

Update - bluetooth low energy can connect via a number of intermediary devices such as Widex Comdex.  It is entirely unclear when Android began supporting BLE ... but it doesn't appear to with the Karoo2.  Anyway, Comdex looks like an ok solution.
